Evening feels short, life seems stagnant and the party puts your blues on standby!
The newly launched "The Beer Cafe, Biggie" in Koramangala is a perfect gateway to start your weekend evening. It was a great privilege to accept the invitation from Burrp for this launch event.
LOCATION: You just can't miss it, located next to Banjara Melting Point on St.Bed road it stands as special as the other famous and unique restaurants in the road.
AMBIANCE: Literally it feels like you are attending a party at your friend's place. Everything is crafted well to create a young and energetic environment.
A green and beautiful portico welcomes you at the entrance. The main bar area looks very raw, furnitures are specially made for group hangout. It also has space to host live music and you can easily accommodate a small dance group. Bar is pretty decent, I just loved their discipline at the counter and the arrangements at their showcase.
There is a cool lawn area situated next to main bar area which looks like typical backyard of a bachelor's house. Generally they arrange the buffet in this area and also they have open grills which blends well with that under sky environment.
They also have a pool table, conference hall and a small sitout place for corporates and small family gathering.
Upper deck is more beautiful and provides a perfect privacy, it also gives a nice glimpse of the most happening part of the pub.
They also screen major sports events live, which is an added delight for sports lovers.
In short, this place ROCKS!
EVENT: The Beer Cafe is known for their collection of beer and beer cocktails (they call it as beertails)
Once we finished their property tour, Mr.Rahul Singh, CEO of The Beer Cafe India gave a brief introduction about their milestones, brand and about their other pubs. Currently The Beer Cafe is serving 19 types of beer in state Karnataka which includes some of the popular brands.
Later Mr.John: a very friendly host & beer expert gave a very informative presentation about
Presentation went very well with real time demonstration and 'hand on beer'
DRINKS: Their array of drinks are simple, limited and pretty straight forward. Since I'm a casual beer lover, I was too excited to try their beer cocktails. This is the first time I tried some of their signature cocktails, believe me! Each one was too good. Especially the "Beer Mule" &"Cucumber flavoured Beertail". These two were definitely star of the evening.
I don't know whether it's the effect of presentation by Mr.John or because of the huge choices, for the first time I'm able to differentiate taste of every brand. I tried Fosters, BIRA, Peroni & Miller. Each was very different in its own way. Though Fosters was my all time favorite, Peroni convinced me pretty well with its unique bitter taste. However, when it comes to cocktails, I saw Miller's being used for most of the cocktails which tasted heavenly. So, it will be injustice to declare a single winner!
FOOD: Lot of improvement needed when it comes to the food. Most of the starters were average except the potato pops. Paneer used in the starter was bit hard and seasoning was very poor on it. Vegetables felt raw in rolls. Main course wasn't any different. Dal Makhani was average and Roti was bit hard as it wasn't kept warm. However Shahi Paneer tasted good and helped to fill the gap in stomach.
EXPERIENCE: Having a conversation with like-minded people with your favourite beer in hand on the lawn reminded me the good old bachelor days.
Our evening started with watching Pakistan's poor batting and ended with dance for great Bollywood music mash-ups. Guys who manage this pub pioneers in the art of setting mode. After the presentation there was pause for some minutes in order to help guests to grab their favourite drinks and to settle down, then live music started with a low note and with in an hour, music grabbed everyone's attention. People started to sing along and night started to get younger and younger.
After live music, Bollywood mix rocked the pub made everyone to put step on dance floor. Booze of great drinks, giggles & toast of tequila shots clearly made this place as most happening one in the city.
Time flew, memories wrapped, moments created... A perfect weekend was celebrated!
SERVICE: They are too professionals. Honestly, on its first day I was not expecting such high level professional treatment but they do have a great team which knows to deal with all situations. Bartenders attended each one's request on time. Even stewards walked around energetically with sides, starters and tequila!
EVERYTHING ELSE: They do have valet parking option, but still parking around will be a pain. They have maintained high level of hygiene all over the place. Restrooms are very clean.
FINAL VERDICT: An extraordinary party place for beer lovers! Just go for it!
